Course Reviews
“Mr. Blessington’ s professional resume is impressive and it’s obvious from the moment he begins speaking about firearms safety that he is one of the most experienced firearms instructors in the state.”
~Robert Irving, Chief, Wayland Police Wayland, MA
“First, Bruce Blessington gives the officers a thorough refresher in firearms safety. Then he does a fabulous job explaining how each action functions and demonstrating how to safely load and unload a wide variety of handguns, rifles and shotguns with dummy ammunition in a safe environment. This a great course for new and experienced officers alike.”
~Warren Phillips, Chief, Avon Police (Retired) Avon, MA
“After the class here many of my officers suggested that Bruce extend the class to allow them more hands-on instruction. This was the first time in my career that any officer has ever asked that a training class be longer.”
~Tom Galvin, Chief, Berlin Police Berlin, MA
“Bruce Blessington condensed his two-hour “Firearms Safety for LEOs” class to a 45 minute intense tutorial on recognizing, unloading and making safe “Unfamiliar and Unusual Firearms” (the new course title). He provides hands-on training with a variety of guns using dummy ammo, supplemented with videos. This gives MPTC Police Academy recruits exposure to the types of weapons they may encounter on the street and the ability to secure them safely. This valuable course will be included in the Academy’s curriculum going forward.”
~Lt. William Leanos, MPTC Training Committee Firearms Coordinator
